“Who’s the system? Get the system on the phone for me.”

Skids is a documentary film that follows a unique school and a group of students on their journey to overcome the effects of trauma, judgment, and the labels cast upon them. I am very proud and honoured to have been one of the producers on this documentary with Barbershop Films in Vancouver. Do watch it when you have time as it just may change your perspective on mental health and the school system.

Debbie Douez

“We are so busy we are forgetting about relationships. We are so busy we are forgetting about the basic connections kids need. Our economies do not allow us to have a community of people around a child anymore.”
